Canopy at Oak Mountain Opening Soon in Pelham, AL

The first phase of apartment buildings at Canopy at Oak Mountain will be open for move-in in August. As of July 1, the pool is ready and the apartment clubhouse is equipped and furnished.

Once complete, the Canopy Park Apartments will be available in one, two, and three-bedroom floor plans. Residents will have access to nearby retail and dining options at The Shops at Canopy, two of those are set to open soon—Taco Mac and Cahaba Cycles.

Comeback Town: Two major projects among the largest in Birmingham history

With Southtown, the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District decided the 80-year-old public housing community had outlived its best years and would best be replaced with a mixed-use development. The Housing Authority selected Southside Development Company, a group made up of partners, including Welden-Field, The Benoit Group and Corporate Realty, to bring something new to the site. Read full article at al.com

WeldenField acquires 29 Seven Apartments in Lakeview for $13.65M

A mixed-use development that helped drive the resurgence of the Lakeview area has sold to a local, family-owned real estate investment firm.

WeldenField acquired the 29 Seven building on Seventh Avenue South for $13.65 million, or more than $250,000 per unit. “We love the area. It’s a thriving, growing part of Birmingham,” said John Grady Welden of WeldenField Development LLC. “It’s next to the best restaurants and bars in town, St. Vincent’s and UAB.”

 

Built in 2012, the 29 Seven mixed-use development was one of the first signs of a commercial construction rebound and found success in residential and retail leasing.

WeldenField Teams Up With Genrev Properties on “The Canopy at Oak Mountain” Project in Shelby County

Birmingham, AL – WeldenField Development teams up with Genrev Properties on a new $60 million mixed-use project on Amphitheater Road between Interstate 65 and Highway 31 in Pelham, Alabama.

The incentive and development agreements have been approved by the City of Pelham.   Site work will begin in 60-90 days, and the project is expected to be ready for delivery in late 2020 or early 2021.

This 40 acre development will include 250 luxury apartments with a three story clubhouse; 100-130 room upscale hotel; 16,500 square feet of retail space geared towards outdoors and nature enthusiasts; 8,000 square feet of additional retail and restaurants, including a brewery; and 8,000 square feet of office space.

The development will benefit from a trail system that will connect to hiking and biking trails inside Oak Mountain State Park, as well as the library, school and recreational building.
